Healthcare system and healthcare education system, both are broken and the only way to mend the system is to build Wellness leaders.
In Vedic society education, food and healthcare was free. However, ruling Kshatriyas took care of these three areas.
Today, healthcare is run by pharma, insurance and marketing. Especially pharma and surgical instrument companies have taken over continuing education for doctors. Doctors have to spend for studying, setting up and then shut the clinics and worry about practice if they have to go out and learn a new skill.
Rajeshwari Dental Clinic has made an humble attempt, inspired by Arvind Eye Care to educate the dentist as well as treat patients at subsidised rates.
About Dr. Rohini Aiyer
This is Dr.Rohini Aiyer, 19 years ago my father sold the only piece of land he had, so that his daughter could become a doctor. But this journey was far from easy, working free for big names, to a meagere salary, to charitables to corporates, I walked my path.
Finally, I started a single chair small practice with minimal funds and limited resources fast forwarded to 2022 my practice expanded to a 1000sq ft. Facility in the best location of Vasai, equipped with 3 chairs, state -of art gadgets and a reception area constantly brimming with patients.
But to do this I had to manage, learning with different mentors. But if someone as ordinary as I could do it any one can. I am eager to offer the support and guidance to bridge the gap between college learning and real-world dentistry, be it clinical or non-clinical skills.
